If you have ever met a Samoan, you probably know how happy of a people they are. They are well known for their love of family and strong cultural traditions. Having had married a Samoan myself and been to the islands, I know firsthand how beautiful that culture is. In fact, I was in Samoa, visiting my husband’s family for Christmas, when my friend had reached out to me to talk about taking their family photos. She had told me that they would be dressing in traditional Samoan attire provided and styled by PJ and his team at Anamua, and let me tell ya, they did not disappoint!

We had decided to do the family photos in their living room. I love the simplicity we were able to set up for their shoot. The family cleared out their living room, we were able to use their white wall as a back drop, and was able to find a siapo to use on the floor. It’s always amazing to me how little you need to create such beautiful photos.
