Have you ever wondered what a lifestyle session would look like with a young toddler? Well I can tell ya that it’s full of playing with toys, jumping on dad, and snuggles with mom!
If you have ever met a toddler, I think we can all agree one thing is in common with all of them. They love to play!
L (who we will call the toddler from this session) was no exception. Mom and dad were so amazing to let him take the lead during our session.
Everything L wanted to do, they they just followed him around and played. He loved it all, the cars (hello Lightning McQueen), airplanes, getting to be an airplane with dad. You know. The usual.
He took us from the living room, to his room, to mom and dads room, back to the living room, then mom and dad’s room, well, you get the point.
But I loved every second of it.
I have learned (through lots of sessions with lots of toddlers + having one of my own), that kids just don’t like to sit and be quiet.
They want to play, explore, run, jump, climb. Do anything BUT sit and smile for the camera.
Quite honestly, I don’t want them to.
Sure, that cute little smile is like mama’s most prized possession. Seriously, if I ever got my kid to smile in a photo, it was like winning the gold ticket in a Willy Wonka chocolate bar. And of course, we love those photos for the Christmas cards.
But it’s just so magical to get to capture their personality at such a young age.
I love getting to freeze these moments in time for families.
Thank you, Miller family, for allowing me to come capture your cute family!
