If you have never been up to visit Oak Harbor/Whidbey Island in Washington, you definitely need to make it a priority this next summer! It’s such a charming town and Deception Pass is absolutely gorgeous. You can imagine my excitement in getting to plan Bekah’s maternity family photoshoot at Joseph Whidbey State Park in Oak Harbor. 

Bekah (mom) was wanting to go for an earthy, natural feel for her family photos, and I think it’s safe to say she NAILED it when coming to plan her session. 

Since I lived so far away, I put location scouting in her hands and not only is this park gorgeous, it is a place where she has taken her family to go play with and created so many memories.

I truly believe that what you wear to your session will set the tone and vibe for your photos. It also makes such a huge difference in how you look and feel! 

Bekah got her dress from One Loved Babe and then built her color palette/her family’s wardrobe from there. Did I already say that she nailed it? Because she sure did. Between the colors she chose, the textures of the fabric, the shoes, it came all together to give off that natural earthy vibe. 

What a wonderful way to celebrate and honor mama’s pregnancy, adding their baby girl and little sister into their family. 

9 months really do fly by, and I know pregnancy isn’t always a dream for everyone. But it is miraculous to think that you are literally creating a human being. It’s always worthy of capturing this time. 

I am so glad we were able to honor and celebrate Bekah’s pregnancy with her baby girl.
